Joel Bussell Bio

People matter. And when people know they matter, they overcome obstacles and do the good they were created to do. Joel’s gift is investing and developing leaders to see that they matter, identify their calling, and overcome the obstacles that stand in the way. All so they can do the most good in the world.

Joel has spent his career doing just that; teaching, caring, and coaching those eager to grow. After graduating from Butler University, Joel has taught in the public school system, coached college students, and currently develops volunteer leaders for a large non-for-profit.

Joel is currently pursuing a master’s in executive coaching and consulting through the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. In hopes to better help invest in the leaders of tomorrow. Leaders who will be tasked with leading with courage, integrity, and with emotional intelligence. 

Joel lives near Indianapolis, Indiana, with his wife Shelbe and two children Graham and Joy. And together they enjoy deep relationships, adventures outdoors, and really good books.
